Service includes draining the old brake fluid
(carrying any dirt and grit with it) and replacing with fresh, clean brake fluid. Includes safe disposal of old fluid.
A brake fluid change (some people call it a "brake fluid flush") keeps your braking system strong, so that when you step on the brake pedal, the vehicle stops as you expect. Helps extend the life of your entire brake system.
What it is: Unless you're a super hero, the strength in your leg isn't enough to stop tons of auto moving at speed. So a hydraulic system filled with special brake fluid is used to multiply the power you apply to your brakes. Over time, the brake fluid can absorb water from the air, which can reduce your braking power and cause wear and corrosion.
Benefit: Fresh brake fluid gives you fresh stopping power. Additives can also slow any corrosion in your system and reduce the need for costly repairs.
