How it's done: To achieve this quiet ride, Dunlop arranged different sizes of tread blocks around the tire that create different sound frequencies that cancel each other out. The tread is further tuned to each different tire size for optimum traction, handling, ride comfort and tread wear given the different loads. Polyester plies under the tread are pre-cured and stretched to give a uniform, comfortable ride.
