Service Central Service: Tire & Wheel Installation Details

This service includes fast, expert tire mounting and wheel balancing. We install tires on your car or truck's wheels, and balance them to within ¼ ounce, for a smooth, even ride.

If you get a flat and "change a tire", you are really removing the entire wheel and replacing it with a spare wheel and tire. Installing the tire is different. It means removing the old (rubber) tire from the (metal) wheel and then seating the new tire on the wheel. Mounting a tire should only be done by trained experts with the right tools - folks like you'll find at any of our stores.

Once the tire is mounted, the wheel must be balanced. Wheel balancing makes the wheel rotate true, without wobbling. Even a small wobble can make a lot of vibration at 40 or 50 miles per hour! Small weights are usually added to the wheel to balance it and help it ride true.

Installation Package 1*:

• Mount and seal the new tires
• Inflate and balance each tire
• Lifetime balance
• Replace the wheels with the new tires on them

Installation Package 2*:

• Remove the wheels
• Remove the old tires from the wheels
• Check the wheels
• Mount and seal the new tires
• Inflate and balance each tire
• Lifetime balance
• Replace the wheels with the new tires on them
• Reset Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), if applicable
